Semangat dan dedikasi Iis Aisyah Citra Dewi patut diacungi jempol. Mahasiswi program magister dan kepala sekolah SDN Bojong tugu Kab. Sukabumi ini berhasil menyelesaikan tugas akhirnya tanpa menulis tesis — tetapi dengan cara yang tak kalah membanggakan: mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah di jurnal internasional bereputasi. Artikel yang ditulisnya berjudul “Efforts to Improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through the Role of Problem-Based Learning (PBL)”. Lewat tulisan ini, Iis membahas bagaimana model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) — sebuah topik yang sangat relevan dengan tantangan pendidikan masa kini. Tak sendiri, Iis dibimbing langsung oleh dua dosen hebat, Prof. Dr. Zainal Abidin Arief dan Dr. Rudi Hartono. Keduanya turut memberikan arahan, masukan, dan semangat hingga akhirnya artikel tersebut berhasil menembus publikasi internasional. Bagi Kaiz, ini bukan hanya soal menyelesaikan kewajiban akademik, tapi juga tentang memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam dunia pendidikan. “Saya ingin karya ini bisa memberi manfaat, tidak hanya bagi saya pribadi, tapi juga bagi para pendidik dan pembelajar,” ujarnya.
Prestasi ini tentu menjadi motivasi bagi banyak mahasiswa lain bahwa tugas akhir non-thesis juga bisa jadi ajang unjuk kemampuan — bahkan membuka peluang di tingkat global. Salut, Kaiz!
